In MNNIT B.Tech. Biotechnology was started in 2006. The admissions for B.Tech. Biotechnology in MNNIT is decided on the basis of Ranking in "All India Engineering Enterence Exam" (AIEEE). The " Biotechnology Batch 2007 " is second Biotechnology Batch in MNNIT .This batch contains 25 students.Currently Biotechnology is under The Department of Applied Mechanics which is established in 1965 .
